The National Apprenticeship Awards is now in it's 16th year, helping to showcase the diverse range of groups who are engaging with Apprenticeships. It shares the many success stories of those who have achieved so much through their Apprenticeship journey, helping to promote others to take this route too.

We are incredibly proud of our business admin apprentice, Josephine Allen who works in the Oxford Learning Institute as an apprentice training administrator as she makes it through to the next round - the regional awards! A truly well-deserved finalist, Jo goes above and beyond in her role and it's great to see this being recognised through the awards. Not only is she excelling at her own Apprenticeship training and career, but she is improving other apprentice's experiences by setting up and running an apprentice network for all those that want to be involved. We spoke to Jo to see how she felt to hear this news:

"To get this far is just brilliant, whatever happens next I am really proud of my achievements and thankful to be working in a department that really supports Apprenticeships and values my contributions."
- Jo Allen

We asked Liisa O'Brien (Jo's manager) how she felt about the award nomination...

These awards are a fantastic way to celebrate the success of apprentices, at the University as well as all over the country. This year, there are 9 categories - to see a full list, click here. We look forward to seeing what happens next!
