Next Generation E-Portfolio Software

14:51

As you all know, part of doing an apprenticeship incorporates an educational aspect, this has previously been done through apprentices taking one day a week to attend a days study at a local college. For some of our Apprentices this is still the case however a new platform has been introduced for some of the Oxford Apprentices who are studying with framework provider, Activate Enterprise.

The platform is called Smart Assessor and offers an alternative way of managing your portfolio and assignments. It has many different features that can be used to best suit your apprenticeship needs, the best feature of all being that it requires NO PAPERWORK!
Say goodbye to bulky folders and scruffy print outs, all your work is all uploaded on to one section and is viewable by you, your assessor and your manager!

Using an electronic portfolio means that videos, photos and voice recordings can be used as evidence of competence and the portfolio is available securely on the web and offline through the Smart Assessor App! This is very useful if you are working offsite or need to access your portfolio quickly.

The Smart Assessor Youtube page is a fantastic place to go for more information and tutorials on how to use the platform - Check out their e-portfolio add below!

Here are some examples of what the learner dashboard looks like; what are your opinions?  Is this really the future for apprenticeship portfolios? Or will attending college and using folders always prevail? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, we would love to hear from you!
